We really did enjoy our stay in Balcomo, close to nearby stores (grocery, Starbucks, tim hortons) 5 minutes drive going to okanagan lake. Room is clean and I asked for extra towels so I don’t have to bother them, glad they gave us extra beforehand. Desk chair has a little damage keeps ruining my pants whenever I sit there. Wasn’t able to use their TV would be great if there’s netflix or disney. We enjoy the warm pool. I even witnessed aurora borealis during our 2nd night.

It was a newly renovated room. Beautiful accents, beds were comfortable. Great place to stay. We received free tickets to the Junior A game which was right across the street from the hotel. That was an awesome bonus to our stay.

I have stayed here several times over the past several summers and is just a great spot. Outdoor courtyard is perfect for the family getting together, BBQ's, activities, pool is nice but busy, hot tub, there are a few different room types, some better than others, the rooms on the backside are much better than the ones on the front side IMO, much more spacious and newer, but both are considered a two queen so I don't know how to differentiate them when booking. It is an expensive hotel so I usually use my whyndham points for my stays here. I wait until Whyndham does a 40% bonus points sale in the winter, purchase points and then use them for my booking here, it works out to about 40-50% off the room rate in the end.

Highly recommend this hotel for a family vacation. Staff are great from reception, HOUSEKEEPING are phenomenal, and maintenance. The hotel is clean, landscaping beautiful and well kept. The only con is when hotel is booked the pool is CROWDED, could use another pool!!! I would recommend Balcomo/ Ramada UP there game ,, LOOSING lots of REVENUE by guests having to call the restaurant that is attached to hotel that’s not owned by Balcomo for beverages and food. You have the infrastructure in place by the pool for ( bar and food ) and add waiter or waitresses serving all your guests by the pool. It would be nice if guests could order ROOM SERVICE for breakfast and have it on their own patio. Overall it’s a beautiful hotel in a great location. Close to 2 local beaches Skaha and Okanagan. .

Since we have to travel to Penticton multiple times per year it is not even a thought to go anywhere else. I call up Lindsey and she helps us out with a room. Then when we have our event each year we always put our group at the Balcomo, they are treated so well and never have any issues. Thank you to the amazing staff, see you again in September.

I had such a wonderful experience during my recent visit, and I absolutely have to give a huge shoutout to Airrion at the front desk! From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with the warmest smile and such a genuinely friendly attitude. His outgoing personality was infectious—it instantly lifted my spirits and actually made me smile after a long day. Airrion went above and beyond just checking me in. He made me feel welcome, comfortable, and valued as a guest. There was something so sincere about the way he interacted—it wasn't just customer service, it was human connection. He made me feel hopeful and happy, which honestly made my entire stay that much more memorable. Thank you, Airrion, for your kindness, positivity, and for being such a bright light at the front desk. Would be good for families as the pool is the strong point. Staff handled everything well. Rooms certainly clean. This is an older hotel with most of it remodelled - make sure to get a newer room. Location is fine near the top of the canal, right on the highway, but quiet. Lots of good parking near the room. Never tried the dining but most restaurants are 5-10 minutes away.
